In Zimbabwe, the manufacturing and mining sectors rely heavily on massive crushing and milling equipment. However, the extreme temperature fluctuations and abrasive dust environments often lead to the rapid degradation of standard epdm rubber material, causing premature equipment failure and increased downtime.
Currently, many local operations struggle with inefficient noise control and mechanical fatigue. The lack of specialized car sound deadening and industrial acoustic materials in the local supply chain has forced many firms to rely on outdated, rigid mounting systems that fail to absorb low-frequency vibrations.
There is a growing shift toward high-grade silicone rubber components in the agricultural and chemical processing plants across Harare and Bulawayo, as industries realize that premium materials significantly reduce long-term maintenance costs despite higher initial investments.
