Product Description
This product is an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) material specifically designed for cable sheaths and insulation layers, copolymerized from ethylene, propylene, and a small amount of diene. It features superior weather resistance, electrical insulation, and stability over a wide temperature range, and is widely used in medium-low to high voltage cable systems. It is particularly suitable for cable protection needs in harsh environments such as outdoor laying, overhead cables, wind power, rail transit, new energy, and other demanding scenarios.
PRODUCT FUNCTION
Excellent weather resistance: Resistant to UV and ozone aging for ≥1500 hours, suitable for high-altitude and high-UV radiation working conditions;
Superior electrical insulation: Volume resistivity >10¹⁵ Ω·cm, dielectric strength ≥20kV/mm (for ≤138kV class);
Flame-retardant and moisture-proof: Complies with UL94 V-0 rating, water absorption rate <0.5%, with no degradation in humid/chemical environments;
High and low temperature resistance: Long-term operating temperature ranges from -55℃ to 150℃, with short-term resistance to 250℃ thermal shock;
Stable mechanical properties: Tear strength ≥15kN/m, bending radius ≤6 times the cable diameter, ensuring construction safety and laying flexibility.
